Man Attempts Fraudulent $3K Purchase At Apple Store, Greenwich Police Say

A man was busted for allegedly attempting to purchase two iPhone X devices valued at $3,000 by using another person's identity.

Brandon Presna, 25, of the Bronx, was arrested on Tuesday after Greenwich Police were notified of possible fraudulent activity at the Apple Store located on Greenwich Avenue, police said.

Officers were able to gather enough information to determine that Presna was using the personal account information of another Verizon Wireless customer to attempt to purchase the phones. 

He was charged with criminal attempt/larceny and identity theft.

Presna is being held on $2,500 bond.
